About EMPOWER
About the EMPOWER Workplace Charging Project
The EMPOWER project supports the expansion of workplace EV charging (WPC) across Connecticut and beyond. Through partnerships with local organizations, municipalities, and businesses, EMPOWER helps make electric vehicle adoption more practical by increasing access to charging where people work.
What is Workplace Charging (WPC)?

Workplace charging refers to electric vehicle charging stations installed at or near a place of employment. This allows employees to conveniently charge their vehicles during the workday. WPC helps reduce range anxiety, lowers commuting costs, and makes EV ownership more accessible, especially for those without reliable charging at home.
